Aviva Life Insurance and BASIX have reached and provided cover to more than 3 million lives in rural India. Aviva and BASIX, who have been partners for 8 years and have launched several microinsurance products like Grameen Suraksha, Long Life Samruddhi, Sangh Samruddhi, renewed their contract for another two years till 31st October 2012.
Speaking on the occasion Monica Agrawal, Director – Director, Strategic Initiatives & Business Development, Aviva Life Insurance said “This has been a journey driven by innovation, commitment and trust from both partners and we are proud that more than 3 million lives have been covered and claims related financial support worth Rs. 22 Crores has been provided to more than 14,000 families. On this occasion, we also reaffirm our commitment to further strengthen our partnership to enrich the coming years with bigger achievements and become the biggest microinsurance partnership in the world.”
